The Brief
For years, Medianet has been the industry leader for media outreach, known for its massive contacts database and powerful press release distribution. But in a 24/7 news cycle, 'sending' is only half the story. To remain the essential tool for PR and comms professionals, Medianet needed to close the loop by adding Media Monitoring and Intelligence to their ecosystem.
The challenge was significant: Medianet wasn't just adding a feature; they were evolving from a distribution platform into a comprehensive, all-in-one media command and intelligence centre. They needed a partner who could architect and design a sophisticated monitoring suite from the ground up—one that could handle the high-velocity "noise" of modern media and distill it into actionable insights.
Bright Labs was engaged for two critical, parallel streams of work.

The Platform
Lead the UX, UI and front-end development for the new intelligence suite, ensuring it felt like a natural extension of the Medianet experience, all under the strictest confidentiality given the competitive nature of the industry.
The Website
Redesign key touchpoints of their primary public-facing website to successfully market this evolution, capture leads and showcase the new capabilities.

Architecting the Intelligence Platform
The project began with an intensive research and analysis phase to understand how users transition from outreach to analysis. We conducted a deep competitive analysis and mapped out complex user journeys to ensure the new monitoring features intuitively integrated into the daily workflow of media professionals. This discovery phase was critical in bridging the gap between Medianet’s heritage as a distribution tool and its future as an intelligence powerhouse.
We then moved into a rigorous UX architecture and wireframing phase, mapping how a user moves from distributing a press release to tracking its real-time impact across TV, radio, print and social media. Transforming static data into dynamic intelligence required designing high-performance dashboards that could filter thousands of mentions without overwhelming the user.

Reimagining the Medianet website
To support the launch of the new platform and ensure a cohesive brand experience from the very first click, we designed a suite of high-converting website templates (UI). Specifically tailored for seamless implementation into Medianet’s existing CMS, these designs needed to balance aesthetic innovation with technical efficiency.
Our overarching website scope was laser-focused on modernising the user journey, stripping away sign-up friction and guiding prospects toward the new intelligence product.
By aligning the public-facing website with the sophisticated look and feel of the new software suite, we created a unified digital presence that effectively communicates Medianet's evolved value proposition to the market.

We crafted new Homepage and Product page designs, alongside scalable 'Solutions' templates designed specifically for in-house teams, PR agencies, solo practitioners and startups.
Clear & Flexible Pricing
We designed a robust Pricing page centered around a "BYO subscription" concept, allowing users to easily navigate the structure of the plans and clearly understand their options.
Streamlined Navigation & Conversion
We restructured the site navigation to work within their CMS's parameters while designing friction-free signup and trial pathways.
Bespoke Platform Graphics
To market the highly confidential software, we created bespoke, de-identified platform graphics showcasing features like the Search Builder, Dashboards, Alerts and Reports. This allowed Medianet to visually communicate their new capabilities without exposing sensitive data.
