The brand

Kolmeo is a proptech platform designed for a new generation of agencies, owners and tenants. Property management is often complex and fragmented, with competing needs across all sides.

Kolmeo set out to reimagine this experience, creating a more connected and engaging way to manage day-to-day tasks. The aim is to make property management more intuitive, productive and even enjoyable.

The opportunity was to bring this philosophy to life through a brand that reflects balance, simplicity and a sense of ease across every touchpoint.

Kolmeo means triangle, representing the owner, tenant and property manager working in harmony.

Designed with joy at its core

The pursuit of balance and harmony informed the brand strategy, spanning personality, tone of voice, tagline, value propositions and a clear narrative.

Among all of this, one idea stood out. Joy.

It became the brand’s core, shaping how Kolmeo shows up across every touchpoint.

This sense of joy is expressed throughout the identity. A vibrant brandmark with a hidden heart, paired with the line "rent, own, manage, love", reflects a more human approach to property. Playful typography, patterns, iconography, illustration and animation extend this system with energy and personality.

The work extends across the broader brand ecosystem, from launch collateral and signage to the marketing website and product interface. The result is a flexible, cohesive identity that is both distinctive and memorable.

The website

A website was designed and developed to introduce the Kolmeo platform, communicate its value and showcase key features and benefits.

The experience was grounded in a user-focused approach. Research into audience needs, motivations and pain points informed the development of personas, user journeys and early prototypes, ensuring the direction was validated before moving into production.

This foundation shaped a clear information architecture and wireframing process, allowing the experience to be defined before progressing into high-fidelity design.

Designing for delight

The experience was shaped to reflect the brand’s sense of joy, introducing interactive elements that bring energy and engagement to the site. This includes a dynamic, scroll-based features module on the homepage, along with considered hover and click states across the primary navigation.

Subtle use of pattern, playful illustration and animation adds personality without overwhelming the experience. These details help draw attention to areas that might otherwise be overlooked, encouraging deeper interaction across the site.

Bringing the brand to life through content

Content was developed to ensure the brand was expressed consistently across every touchpoint. A considered, light-touch approach to tone allowed the personality to come through, balancing clarity with a sense of play.

Simplified representations of the app interface were used to highlight key features and benefits, making the product easier to understand at a glance. An interactive pricing calculator was also introduced, helping users explore the model and identify the tier that best suits their needs.

App UI and components

Kolmeo set out to reimagine the property management experience through a product that balances simplicity on the front end with powerful functionality behind the scenes. To support this ambition, the product needed to reflect the same clarity and energy as the brand.

The challenge was to balance a bold, expressive identity with the need for usability and intuition. The experience needed to feel distinctive without compromising clarity, ensuring users could navigate the platform with confidence.

Design principles were established early to guide how the brand translates into the product. These were shaped by three core traits:

  • Passionate
  • Imaginative

Each principle informed a set of design goals, creating a clear framework for decision-making and ensuring consistency across the product experience.

Evolving the product experience

Existing UI components, app screens and dashboard views were refined through the considered application of colour, shape and language. The aim was to introduce personality while maintaining familiarity and usability.

At the same time, opportunities to simplify key screens were identified, improving clarity and accessibility across the experience.

Close collaboration with the Kolmeo design team ensured all recommendations aligned with product functionality, creating a solution that is both expressive and practical.

From generic to distinctive

The UI was refreshed through the application of Kolmeo’s brand and design principles, introducing personality through animation, illustration and a custom set of pictograms.

A comprehensive set of digital style sheets was developed in Figma, covering iconography, typography, buttons, cards and core components. This created a practical system for the product team to build and evolve the interface with consistency.

The result is a more distinctive and engaging product, transforming a conventional property management tool into a modern experience that resonates with property managers, owners and tenants alike.

From brand expression through to product interface, each touchpoint has been designed to work together, creating a clear and consistent experience for agencies, owners and tenants.
