Great design is for everybody

Accessibility and inclusive design ensure digital experiences are usable, understandable and effective for the widest possible audience. They reduce barriers, support compliance and create clearer, more compliant digital platforms.

At Bright Labs, accessibility is treated as a design and delivery discipline, not a last-minute fix. We design and build websites, platforms and systems to meet recognised accessibility standards (WCAG), while ensuring they remain usable, maintainable and aligned with brand and experience goals.

Accessibility as a design principle

Embedding accessibility into structure, interaction and content.

WCAG standards-led

Designing and building against recognised accessibility guidelines, not opinion.

Inclusive by default

Experiences that work better for everyone.

C1

WCAG accessibility standards

Our accessibility work is grounded in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the international standard for web accessibility. Where required, we design and develop digital experiences to AA or AAA rating. The appropriate level of conformance depends on sector obligations, audience needs, risk profile and project scope.

C2

Accessibility requirements

These requirements are applied consistently across design, content, and implementation and may include:

  • Colour and contrast
  • Typography and readability
  • Keyboard access and focus management
  • Semantic structure and markup
  • Forms and user feedback
C3

Accessibility across sectors

Accessibility requirements vary by organisation and sector. For some organisations, including those operating in government, education, health, aged care and regulated environments, formal accessibility conformance may be required. In other contexts, accessibility may be guided by audience needs, brand values or risk management considerations.
