The Brief
Dolly's Dream was established to change the culture of bullying and help prevent youth suicide. Supporting that mission requires a digital presence built on trust, accessibility and clarity.
As the organisation evolved, it needed a website that better reflected its impact while making it easier for young people, parents, educators and supporters to access information, resources and services. The goal was to create a digital experience that balanced storytelling and education with practical support, ensuring help was always easy to find when it mattered most.
The platform also needed to serve as a central hub for fundraising, community engagement and awareness initiatives while remaining accessible, scalable and simple to manage.


The Approach
Our work began with a discovery phase focused on understanding the needs of Dolly's Dream's diverse audience. Through stakeholder workshops and user journey mapping, we identified how different audiences interacted with the organisation and the information they needed to access.
These insights informed a new information architecture and user experience designed to guide visitors quickly and intuitively to the right content, whether they were seeking support, educational resources or ways to get involved.
The design process moved from detailed sitemaps and wireframes through to a polished interface that reflected the warmth, optimism and purpose behind the brand. Particular attention was given to accessibility, readability and content hierarchy, ensuring important information remained easy to find and consume.

To support the organisation's long-term needs, the platform was built on Craft CMS, providing a secure and flexible foundation that allows the internal team to manage content efficiently. Responsive design, performance optimisation and extensive browser testing ensured a consistent experience across desktop, mobile and tablet devices.



The project also included the integration of fundraising, communications and content management tools, helping create a connected digital ecosystem that supports both operational efficiency and community engagement.
