The future of iCMS
Version 2.5 of iCMS is in development, with new features and improvements currently being implemented and tested.
Brightlabs is already working hard on a new revision of iCMS, even though version 2.4 was only released in September 2009! We have been busy preparing the next release for our clients. Having taken feedback from users we have spent time analysing the system to make improvements and additions to iCMS to create a greater user experience. Although we don’t want to reveal too much, here are some things you can hope to expect from the next version of the system*:- External application integration – Easy access from within iCMS to other commonly used services offered to our client such as the Brightlabs Newsletter Manager system, as well as Google Analytics.
- Bandwidth and Storage Allowance metres – Easily track your website’s bandwidth and disk space usage with simple metres that are built into the iCMS interface.
- Editor Upgrade – As part of the new version of iCMS, Brightlabs hopes to integrate a newer version of our editor. This will allow for greater functionality for users, making content editing easier and more efficient than ever before.
- Various fixes and Improvements – We are aiming to eliminate any known issues that exist within the system, as well as responding to client feedback by improving functionality of several of iCMS’ modules such as the Form and Survey Builder.
* Please note that although these are the features we hope to implement for our next version of iCMS, they are subject to change based on time and development restrictions.
Although work has already begun, we would very much appreciate client feedback on issues or suggestions that you may have. The success of iCMS is greatly helped by user feedback, and we strive to take all comments on board and implement these suggestions where possible. If you would like to make any suggestions for upcoming releases of iCMS, please feel free to contact us with your ideas.
We look forward to improving and expanding our software, and delivering to you a greater product at every version!
